Making a special cowstyle candle (Whole process) /Farm life

Making your own cowstyle candle at home

Earlier I posted the cowstyle candel and was asked how to pour it. Today I share the process here. Hope this will help :-)

Enjoy!

Cowstyle candle

Things I used:

  1. Wax melter (I use a ToAuto wax melter)

  2. A cube mold

  3. Wax(I used 70g beanwax and 70g bee wax)

  4. Pigment: black

  5. essential oil:8ml

  6. cotton thread (depends on the mold size)

  7. Some sulfuric acid paper

  8. Hot air blower

Ok, let's get started!

  1. Melt the wax

  2. Pour out some wax, and add black pigment (add enough untill the wax liquid turns black)

  3. Apply some black wax on the paper (best at 150 degree)

  4. Attach the wick in the mold, and heat the mold with a dryer or a blower. (so the black wax wont fall down)

  5. Tear off the black spots on the paper and put them to the inner wall of the mold

  6. Add some essence into the white was liquid at 165-750 degree, and stire it.

  7. Wait till the wax cool off to 150 degree, then pour it into the mold.  (if it is too hot, it will melt the black spots we put before)

  8. Fix the wick with clips and wait for the wax to solidify completely

  9. Unmold, shape the wick, and you're done!

Tips:

  1. when making the balck sopts, make it thicker so to tear it off easily

  2. Heating the mold with a dryer so the black spots won’t fall down
